thats the noise, I have noticed the noise cannot be heard when the camera is near the engine as the engine is too loud.

let me explain.

there are 2 aux belts on this engine.

one goes around the alternator and crankshaft

other goes around the vane pump, crankshaft, ac pump, idler pulley

the engine is belt driven so water pump runs off cam belt. (I have no coolant loss, I hope its not the water pump otherwise I will have to get done straight away for peice of mind as if it fails im in trouble)

the alternator belt is spring loaded the top one is manual tension, maybe its loose, I will see if I can tighten to a specification.

belts are only 2,000 old, genuine Toyota too.

below is a diagram look for the 1cd diagram in my case mine does not have aircon as I bypassed with shorter belt as aircon used to rattle.
