vauxhall vectra cdti - AC pressure test kit for a vectra c, cdti, 2005 - carnut1980

Is there a pressure testing kit that will pressurise my aC system to test for leaks? I had a leak at the compressor, then at the drier. Both were loose 13mm nuts. I don't want to keep taking it to ATS or kwif fit, intending to regas the system only to be told i have a 3rd leak. Can i pressure test it myself, so i know there are no leaks beforehand? i know ebay do regas kits but its unclear if you can pump air into the sytem with them, first

You will need an oxygen free nitrogen test kit and a set of gauges and coupling hoses.A starter kit can be bought for around £350-400.Pumping air into an a/c system is not a good idea,as it produces water,which is what you don't want in an a/c system.,

Alternatively, take the car to an aircon specialist who'll have the equipment and knowledge to check for any leaks with nitrogen and not just try re gassing like the two fast fit outfits you mention.

The problem with the fast fit outlets is they rarely have the equipment, time or knowledge to carry out full diagnosis checks and just vacuum and re gas the system and take your money no matter the outcome.
