Mazda 6 2.2d 2009 - Mazda Engine Failure(s)!! - crank case

My Mazda 2.2d is now on it's third short engine in 107000 miles! The first one was replaced at 75000 miles under warranty, the second was definitely due to sludge in the oil blocking the pickup (which has been written about elsewhere in the forum), this happened at 97000 miles and now the crankshaft has broken(!!) at 107000 miles. Total running costs of a Mazda 6 now exceeding £6000 for the last 10,000 miles. Takes some beating? The car has a full main dealer service history.

Anyone else with similar experiences of this notoriously reliable marque?

He's one very hacked off Mazda owner where the engine failed before its first service and under 12000 miles & Mazda still refused warranty saying he had done too many short trips ! ( What 11000 miles in 11 months )

Hope it helps, I see plenty of Mazda engine failures at very low mileages & most caused by blocked oil strainers & some by injector seal failure.
