Blocked diesel supply pipes - Bio Diesel - Steveieb

Understand that since bio has been added to diesel fuel there has been a problem with the deterioration of the baffles in the fuel tank.

To such an extent that the plastic remnants have been found to be blocking the fuel delivery pipes.

I heard of one case where the whole system including the pump had to be replaced at a cost of £9k.

Can anyone identify which diesel fuels are the ones most likely to cause the problems?

Correct me if wrong, but I thought that only occured on fibreglass tanks,ie the bio was or is melting the resin blocking the system or causing the tank to leak.? I`ve only read part of the problem

Several years ago we put bio diesel in to our Hyundai Trajet. Two weeks later the car broke down and needed new Injectors. The cause was aggressive attack on various parts in the fuel system by the bio fuel. However the fuel did not come from a recognised source (a local privately owned station) and I would hope mainstream brands know what they are selling.
