Citroen Dispatch - Citroen Dispatch Locks - u1112211
I have just brought a 2004 Citroen Dispatch and there are a couple of issues with the locks.
1. An easy one. Is it possible/practical to buy and programme a new remote central locking key? Not a major issue but have only got non remote keys.
2. Should the two sliding doors lock on the central locking from the drivers door. If so does anyone know a fix as neither of mine do.

Any help would be appreciated.

2. yes. but it sounds like a previous owner has [sensibly] disconnected the cdl actuators in the sliding doors.

The locks on dispatches are woeful quality. they have plastic housings and the lock barrel can easily be prized out of the handle with a 4mm screwdriver. I removed the locks in the sliding doors of my dispatch and filled the holes so thy could only be unlocked manually from the inside.

the barrel workings gum up really easily thanks to the rubbish plastic parts. i would suggest flushing the locks regularly with WD40, allowing it to dry off for 2 days and then following up with white grease.
