Toyota Auris 2007 1.6 - juddering - zak3799

Please can you advise me, I am gettng a judder when pulling off In 1 st gear and reversing, The judder is quite noticable on times and seems to be when the clutch is fully out, and I am pulling away slowly. The car has 50,000 on the clock and I have only had the car a month. I have a 12 month suzuki warranty on the car, but would like your advise before contacting the garage.

Could be clutch judder, possibly a problem with an engine or gearbox mount or even something like a broken or loose exhaust mounting.

You would have to have it looked at on a ramp to eliminate some of these.

Many thanks for your advise. I was suspecting clutch judder as i have had that problem with a astra in the past. The judder only seems to happen when the car has been used for somee time. Seems fine when cold.

Does that make seem quite likely that it is more clutch than mount ?

Could be either, it would be easier to dismiss a mount causing the problem by having a good look and levering them. Unless you have got the clutch stripped in front of you, it's difficult to "see" a damaged clutch spring or oil contamination.

You need to get someone to look at it, anything else is just guesswork.
