Excellent news

Who would get fined if there's a steam of 10+ cars tailgating on a motorway? I'm guessing they can only stop one of them? I noticed in the video there were two vehicles tailgating a lorry and the officer said he's definately driving too close but I think it should have been a 'they' rather than 'he'. In the video it was also particularly bad as he was boxed in with another lorry which meant he had no escape routes, only braking.

I do wonder how well it is enforced. If somebody pulls infront of me, a photo would make it look like I was tailgating, I hope they look at the full picture rather than instantly stopping people.

Last time I was tailgated it was by a copper in a marked police dog van.

Who's going to pull him over?

The last one in the line, so you've got to try and get more people to join on behind you :)

Another well intended but virtually unenforceable law

. "More than 6,000 motorists have been fined in the last eight months for hogging lanes and tailgating, according to figures obtained by the BBC" That will be less than 0.001% of drivers who were tailagting during thos 8 months, for a wild guess!
