Vauxhall Insignia - engine squeek - bucca

hi all, i have a squeek coming from my engine only when cold,sounds like its from the belts,pulleys,waterpump,alternator area but as i say only when cold and only lasts 10 minutes then no problem,any ideas? or is it just a pet mouse under the bonnet!

Sounds like the alternator drive belt needs checking out as it could either need tightening/replacing. After cold starting the engine, the alternator will be under full load as it is replacing the "charge" used for starting etc. After the time scale you mention, less charging will be required and the belt will then be able to grip because of the reduced load on the alternator.
