Anybody know anything about the quote below, found when looking to compare UK and US Nissans.....at www.nissan.com/

A quick google at 'Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. v. Nissan Computer Corporation' will give you the relevant info.
Basically, NMC don't own the nissan.com and nissan.net domain names, these are owned by the computer company. There was nothing NMC could do about it until the computer company started running banner ads on the site, some of which involved cars. As NMC own the trademark 'Nissan' relating to automobiles, they were able to sue and get the site taken down.
