I am in favour of any law that prevents or inhibits peds from jumping off the pavement in front of motor vehicles - particularly mine. This USA jaywalking law seems to to a good solution. I commend it to the current government. I also propose a bounty that can be claimed by any driver who knocks over a ped who is crossing where they shouldn't - £500 should be about right.
