Hi Andrew

"Cache", in this context, is a bit of storage space on your computer's hard disk which the browser uses. If you re-visit to an internet site, rather than downloading the images on the site it looks for them in the cache instead. Data transfer between disk and browser is far far faster than between website and browser, so you should see a speed increase too. As to how to adjust it, I'm going to quote from one of the posts in "Discussion" (thanks, M.B.).

"On a more serious note - Martin's request to change your browser settings is easily done. In Internet Explorer, you click on
1. Tools, Internet Options, select "General" Tab,
2. then in the middle section titled "Temporary Internet Files" click on Settings,
3. and for the option to "check for newer versions of stored pages" select either the 2nd or 3rd radio button,
4. and set the "amount of disk space to use" as 5MB or MORE (I use 5% of my hard disk capacity).
5. Click OK, then Apply, then OK, to exit the Tools."

Hope this helps.
