The door locks on my recently acquired 2003 golf are set in the 'hijack' mode, i.e. only drivers door lock operating when 'zapped'.

I know John has referred previous query to handbook, that states contact vw dealer. My 'local' dealer is 30 miles away. Any suggestions gratefully received.
