Ford P100 1.8td 1992 - Cyl head torque settings? - Bikerjohn

Can enyone tell me the torque settings and sequense for head bolts on my p100 1.8td 1992?

There doesn't seem to be a haynes manwell made for it and the haynes 'engine' book doesn't cover it either.

It was the last model with UNC thread so may well be different to the later metric settings....I just don't know.

Any ideas?

Start from the centre bolts and working alternately diagonal and opposite ,ending at the cam belt end.The figures are first stage 70-75 nm ,wait 2 mins.then 70-75nm again.last stage turn thro 90 degrees.Use new bolts.hth

If you need any more info on the engine its almost the same as the late Sierra and similar to the early Mondeo, you should be able to get a Haynes manual for those.
