Ford Fiesta - Duratec and zetec - eddie lane
I am changeling the engine on my 54 reg ford fiesta 1.4 the engine I am taking out is a duratec and I have been told that a zetec out of a 04 1.4 will fit without any problems can anyone confirm this thanks.

The 1.4 engine used in the Fiesta was the Zetec SE which is now called the Sigma. The Duratec is a totally different engine but it is irrelevant to you, Ford never made a 1.4 and the only one ever fitted to a Fiesta was the 2.0 in the ST model.

Ford confuses matters by stamping ditterent names on plastic covers to suit their marketing needs.

The 1.4 in the 04 plate will be exactly the same engines as the 1.4 in your 54 plate.
