Hi,

A well known and well documented problem across the Peugeot/ Citroen range. The problem is the sensor wires under the drivers/ passengers seats. The connection plugs are useless and when the seats are moved the contact is sometimes lost. The fix is to cut the wires each side of the plug. Throw each plug as far as you can as they have no further use. Re-join the wires (preferably using a soldering iron - colour to colour (i.e re to red) (colour used as an example). Insulate using either heatshrink or insulating tape. Job fixed!!! Cost...zero. Don't let a garage tell you its something a lot more expensive - it's not. The above will fix it!!!
