Peugeot 807 SE. 2.0HDI, 06 reg. - The wifes 807 - RJBarnes

We have a problem with a lack of power when the engine is cold. It will not rev over 2000 rpm & occasionally 3000 rpm & has with very little power (no misfire or rough running) When the engine warms up (approx 2 mile ish) all the power kicks in. Not good fun on wet/greasy roads or in traffic. Its done just ovr 60,000 miles & has a non dealer service history. Grateful for any advice.

If it revs are limited it is sure sign its LHM normal causes are gummed up EGR valve, the problem with Citroen Peugeot is that they require the correct computer linked up to see what is the problem is they are called Planet and World .

Looks like i will have to take it in & get someone to have a look at it. Does not sound cheap at all.

Try disconnecting the MAF sensor and see if the car drives better.

I maintain a list of Peugeot Planet / Lexia owners and operators. Is there anyone on this map close to you:

Thanks for the operators map, looks like warlord is nearest to me,will drop by & see what he can do + how much its going to cost. The garage we bought it from do not seem to want to help, keep putting off looking at it,ive given up on them now. Will be warning people not to go there.

I can't speak for Warlord, as I rule I charge £15 if they're local, otherwise £25. Either way it will be cheaper than a Peugeot dealer, they usually charge their standard hourly labour rate of £80+VAT.

You could go to any garage but they'd use a generic code reader which aren't that great.
