peugeot 205 1.1 1995 - reverse light/switch ??? - skinnyjim

Hello,

I'm trying to locate the reverse light switch, i think its attached to the gear box but cannot see easily inside or under the car where it is actually attached.

Can you help?

The Haynes manual (supplement, p.362) says "disconnect the wiring and unscrew the switch from the top of the gearbox". There is a small photo which does not show enough of the 'box for me to identify just where it is, but there can't be many wiring connections there .... It's probably somewhere under the battery tray.
