The residents seem to be in favour so not sure why/whether it ia a problem.

I'd rather have camera monitored zones that speed bumps or pinch points.

The article says 15,000 people responded to the consultation. Brighton is home to over 150,000 people. The vast majority probably had no idea any such consultation was taking place, because Councils only advertise it to people they know will approve.

The Greens have made Brighton an intolerable place to go. Maybe surrounding areas will benefit by business and people moving elsewhere.

Broghton has the follwowng memories:

Gay parades

My BMW vandalised

Police not interested. (happens all the the time)

Stoney beaches.

Full of people whom I consider to be unemployable in any normal activity.

Will never go there again.

The residents deserve the public services they (don't ) get.

Extract from one of the relevant council documents:

"Information leaflets and questionnaires were mailed to all 58,489 addresses across the Phase 2 area."

Public consultation means 'we are doing it anyway'. Happened here, now the local council passes any responsibility to the county council who of course fob you off.

Best of luck with that Brighton - they tried that in Portsmouth recently and serious accidents went up! So what are you trying to achieve here? To injure more people? Or just playing to the local green gallery for some votes the next time around?

Brighton is unfriendly for motorists, they are treated as pariah, best to keep away if you want to drive. Perhaps when enough people stay away and the locals suffer the results of reduced income / investment diverted elsewhere they will realise pushing away motorists is not the best way forward

I went to Brighton a couple of years ago thought it would be a nice family day out. When we found a place to park was £4 a hour :O. We thought we'd have fish and chips that was horrendously over priced. In future I won't go back to Brighton.

I spent 6 months as a student in Brighton in the '60s - very much a heterosexual town then - it must have changed a lot!

Do homosexuals struggle with 30mph?

Sorry, just struggling to see the relevance.
