Just about to order a replacement Yeti for our present one, but have been made aware of pending EU laws on emissions being tightened up for cars. There is no point in ordered another tdi if we're going to get stuck in the EU quagmire. What is your opinion? Have you heard more about this legislation?

These things normally apply to cars built after the directive comes into force. Even the Euroidiots in Brussels can't put millions of existing cars off the road. Order now and you'll be fine.

Yes, you're talking about Euro VI which hasn't come into force yet, so you'll be fine with a current model, which is Euro V - meaning it has a Diesel Particle Filter fitted, so check you're ok with that kind of use profile. I think there are a few Selective Cat reduction systems in use on higher spec Audis possibly, anybody know how they're holding up in general use?

A complete new range of Skodas was announced and shown in Auotbild this weekend from coupes to 4x4 monsters all with different production dates I believe the first to change is the Fabia but no mention of the Yeti in the new program so I would check you are not buying an obsolete car.

Good point - there does seem to be a re-launch in Jan 14 of the Yeti, so OP needs to negotiate a good deal on the run-out model if buying new. Probably will be some good nearly new deals, though it's not a car I fancy.
