Nissan and Renault - Galad

FiL is looking at changing his 2006 Scenic diesel for a 2 year old Nissan Note diesel. He's had had lots of expensive problems with the Renault but am I right that the Nissan has the same engine given the strategic alliance between Renault and Nissan?

Yes,

its the same 1.5 diesel lump used by dacia, renault, mercedes benz and nissan.

Its not the best diesel, its not the worst diesel - looked after they can go on for mega miles.

The Nissan Note is under-rated, ive been doing alot of research on the Mark 1 (2006 - 2013) and they are becoming a real bargain since the mark 2 came out.

Some people foolishly say a Renault Modus is identical which is not true at all, they have very different characteristics and the note is far better.

i doubt they are more than 10% similar

the pre reg 62/13 plates look like real bargains.
