avensis 2.0 valvematic engine - buying 2010 Avensis - chuma

I am planning to buy 2010 avensis in nigeria. its got 70k km but the gearbox seems like normal auto changing from 1 to 4 rather than CVT!

does Toyota do normal auto for foreign use and CVT for Europe?

are there 2010 models with normal auto? does this model achieve same MPG?

i need advice before paying!

The only thing I know about Nigeria and motor vehicles is that my next door neighbours old C class was purchased by a Nigerian gentleman to ship back to Lagos.

It was cheaper to ship an old C class from the UK and pay the transport costs and customs bribes than buy an equivelent car in Lagos (and a good quality C Class with genuine miles are hard to find).

Does not directly answer your question but in the UK the Avensis does not have a 2 litre petrol engine, only the 1.8, neither does it have a conventional automatic gearbox, only the CVT and manual. Would suggest you contact the Main Toyota dealers in your country to find out what is available.
