Try some radiator repair liquid but be prepared for a big bill since if it does not stop the leak you will need a new engine if the water leaks out.

Scratch remover does not remove scratches.

At the end of the day you have a Porsche and they cost good money to repair. If you cannot afford to do it properly sell it and buy something you can afford to maintain correctly.

How do you identify 'genuine advice' ? Would that be only the advice you want to hear?

Only one drip on here by all accounts. That's the one with a Porsche who cannot afford to maintain it properly.

All radiator sealers are similar;I used to use Bars Leaks. Now I would get an exchange rad.(Serck).

Personally I think the scum who do this sort of thing should be transported back to the Spanish Inquisition and made to suffer.

I've used this:
www.ebay.co.uk/itm/325ML-WYNNS-COOLING-SYSTEM-STOP...c
and found it effective against small leaks.

When you can eventually get the rad replaced you'll need to have the coolant system flushed and the coolant replaced with fresh (something that should be done occasionally anyway).

I don't know if I can recommend a company to repair your radiator, but here goes:

http://www.arrowrad.co.uk/

They are geniuses and will probably be able to fix it for a fraction of the price for a new one.

clearly best option would be take radiator out and either repair or replace. not an easy job on the Boxster as mid engined and have to get to it.

What year Boxster is it ?. The 996's had a low level coolant light and is very sensitive. Prevoius posters have given pitfalls of running short of water, sound advise but maybe not in the way you wanted to hear.

Have used Barrs Radweld long time ago, it cured a slight leak in a Citroen AX, might be worth what ever a bottle costs now.

Any problem on a Porsche is likely to cost you money, don't understand numskulls who go about vandalising what they see as posh cars just for the sake of it.

Good luck

Some years back, a car fitted with extra sensors (as we were developing air-sensing fan drives and this was used for endurance tests) had a small radiator leak. Needing to complete a mileage program we popped a Bar's leaks pellet in the rad as a temporary fix, this sealed the leak but cylinder head temperatures went up about 10 C compared to the established normal level. Not noticeable on the standard temperature gauge, though.
