I don't know, but they do seem to do well in survey's.

Pretty sure they were built in holland and were a joint development with the Volvo S40.

In most of the recent reliability surveys I have read the Charima/Lancer has done poorly which has been very surprising since Mitsubishi was one of the better regarded brands a few years ago.

I had one, bought in Cyprus in 1997, and eventually driven hell for leather back to the UK in 1998. Little went wrong except the seat belt refused once to pull out fully thereby leaving me to drive illegally to the Mitsubishi garage. Smelt petrol in later life, garage fixed it. Thats all for 12 years. I thought it was a great car, the reviewers didn't tho'. Beautiful lines, that's why I bought it as well as the fact Mitsubishi made the Zero WW2 fighter that took the Yanks 2 years to get the better of it. All in all after 30+ cars nearly the top of my list.

Highly underrated cars Mitsi's, pity their more recent models have been saddled with that ugly as sin rear sloping grill though.

My daughter still has my old Mitsubishi (made in Britain) video recorder, that too simply refuses to break down.

lucky you, I had a mitsubishi video recorder, and camcorder, after 15 years both have died and have had to be scrapped
