FORD FOCUS CC3 - LEAKING ROOF - reado

Intrested to read about the ford focus cc leaking roof. I also encounted this problem with my car. The garage changed the roof rubbers but it still leaked after a few months. So with the roof down I put hydraullic grease on the roof rubbers and it has not leaked since (two years) It is quite simple to do and not very expensive just make sure you spread it as evenly as you can

Used to put grease on the front rubber seal on my Spitfire roof back in the 70's. Worked back then as well.

I have a cc3 which, luckily, does not leak at all. I treat the seals with a milky liquid put on with one of those sponge applicators like a shoe cleaing device. It is call Gummi Pflege, £10 for 2 on e bay and there is something very exotice called Swiss Vax which is £40 a bottle. For my assistance please would you explain what is meant by "Hydraulic Grease"? I might try some before the winter.
