Corsa Combo 1.7 Di 2003 - A generic part or an original replacement? - mobisat

Hi,

I've been advised to replace my MAF sensor at my local garage.

On ebay the price for a brand new MAF ranges from £25 for a generic to £140 for a Bosch which is like for like replacement.

The mechanic advised to forget the cheaper versions, they can be hit and miss and buy the Bosch like for like.

Whats everyones thoughts on this?

Would you buy the cheaper probably made in China replacement?

Thanks for any advice

With that price difference, I'd give the generic part a spin.

I'd do so in the full and certain knowledge that I might well be wasting 25 quid though.....

A £25 air mass meter? ,you might as well fit a toilet roll tube, which costs zero.
