I actually don't care what politicians do and say, but this was not my point. Anything in business i take with a pinch of salt, and as for the other comment about (people) not going to church (recently), That is every persons individual choice and right, be it church synagogue or mosque or temple.

In my case i am lucky i have someone who looks at things for me too, and the advice in this particulat case, (a non-conform to building regs extension) has probably saved me a lot of money, just by not proceeding as far as solicitors searches and all the associated costs.

That was just an aside to the ease of taxing the buggy online,, apart from the cost,

But while on the subject, everything i do with DVLA and others, i record and save all means of contact, ANYTHING posted to them is sent recorded delivery, and yes, I like their service..

Just got the renewal notice and taxed the car from the comfort of my armchair, as the advertisement says,

Quick and almost painless except for the money side.

Personally I always use the local Post Office, in an effort to support local services and to keep this valuable service going.

I stopped using the local post office when they started closing at lunch time and twice issuing a 6 month disc for a 12 month price and application form.
