We've got a 60 reg one at work. I don't like:

1) Unsupportive drivers seat

2) Stupid flashing green 'change gear' arrow idiot light .

3) 6 gears - it seems I am always changing gear.

4) Poorly designed windscreen wiper control stalk

5) Noisy - mind all Luton's are like this!

I like:

1) The diesel engine pulls well.

2) Good brakes

3) Good radio

4) Lots of cabin stowage space

Whatever you do don't buy a Mercedes Luton Sprinter. We have had 2 complete exhausts systems stolen from these works vehicles parked up in our yard. We now have to park them by ramming them into the greenery to make bonnet access difficult. The thieves favourite Luton no less!

Firstly I would change your mechanic then decide if a Transit whether you want front or rear wheel drive.

Even with alleged "trouble",there must be some reasons why they're the market leader and have been since 1965!

So you like them?

Yeh I've hired transits and the radios rock! I found the seats comfortable, but a bit too comfortable if you know what I mean, but the main thing for me is reliability. And yes 6 gears are a b***** pain around town.

If you want trouble, then buy yourself one of the Vivaro/Trafic/Primastar models.Guaranteed to empty your wallet big time.
