What work has been alleged to have been done so far I wonder? You need to establish where exactly the oil leak is. It could be via the crankshaft oil seals, one of which is fairly exposed and easy to access. T'other requires the gearbox to be removed, with corresponding increased labour costs. I need to know more about the location of the leaks as I am only guessing at the moment.

These leak oil out of the cylinder head bolts, apparently. My Niece has a Renault Megane and her car has experienced this problem.

Try Googling "Renault Megane Oil Leaks", or something similar.

This is a known fault on these cars so I would suggest you take it to someone who knows what they are doing, preferably with some Renault experience, too.

You have just thrown hundreds of pounds away and you want to throw some more at the same people.Go ahead if you have that much money but first I would want to know what or where the oil leak was and what they were going to do to rectify it .
