2005 vauxhall astra sport - seatbelt warning light - doghead

seat belt warning light stays on even when belts are worn.on very odd occasions light goes off.

have had look under seats and cant see anything loose

Get in car, fasten belt.

Now fasten the passenger belt. If the light goes out, the problem is with the backside-detecting switch in the passenger seat, or its wiring. If the light stays on, the problem's with the switch (or its wiring) in the driver's seatbelt stalk/buckle arrangement.

many thanks will give it a go.

is it possible to take apart buckle arrangement

is the warning just to let you know seatbelts are not fastened or is it a problem with airbags as well
