HP Deskjet - Ink Cartridges - Drivethru

Is it worth buying genuine ink cartridges or are the remanufactured ones ok. Just wondered what experience others have had.

The refurb and generic ones are fine. I use a website called Cartridge Monkey and they are reasonablly priced and you can buy a load in bulk. I refuse to pay the prices Canon want to charge me for ink - the printer cost less than some of the ink cartridges out there.

If you buy the makers own ink cartridges they are horrendously expensive. The re-conditioned ones are fine and work well and so does the injection refills available, provided you can put up with the printer telling you it about to self destruct! With the re-injection system you need to top up just as the printer software indicates low level, otherwise as with recons the printer software constantly flashes messages on screen about unapproved cartridges. HP are really bad for this and it annoys me that their printer software can infringe onto my laptop at will. I shall never again buy any HP kit. Cheers Concrete
