Noticed on the n-cap story regarding the citan, it shows a combi version.

Will the UK be getting a full passenger version of the citan?

Since Renault pulled the kangoo, the choice has been limited to a fiat doblo, citroen berlingo multispace or the peugeot partner tepee.

It appears GM have decided not to bring the Vauxhall combo combi passenger car to the UK which is soled on mainland europe as a Opel Combo Combi passenger car.

We are in the market to buy 2 of these vehicles and noticed Nissan sell the NV200 as a passenger car.

If anyone has tried the nV200 and can give some feedback, I would appreciate it.

If anyone knows if Mercedes are bringing a passenger version of the Citan (Passenger not Crew van), I would appreciate the heads up.

Nissan won the contract for the New York taxis with the taxi variant of the NV200. Think in the UK the combi version is a conversion.

There is also the VW Caddy Max Life you could consider.

Why are you interested in a new vehicle with such a low NCAP score?

The vehicle cannot score higher than a 3 even if it was bullet proof in an accident.

All because NCAP say it must have a fancy gadget or gismo such as ESP.

So I dont go on the new N-CAP ratings, there 3 star is as good IMO as the old 4 or 5 star.

I will call my local Mercedes dealer tommorrow and enquire.

Vauxhall told their techs during the new Combo training there would be a passenger version coming to the UK but they must have changed their mind.

Vauxhall offer the 1.4 turbo engine with 140bhp in the combo combi passanger car in mainland europe, I would have prefered it to the mere 95bhp 1.4 petrol in the fiat doblo.

The NCAP rating system has changed - but 3 on the new ratings is still poor - but then this is a Renault!

I thought ALL new passenger vehicles were required to have ESP under EC Directive ?

It's big and square, so not very pedestrian friendly. Minus one star.

The other one probably went on the thing not having quite as many airbags as the testers thought could feasibly have been put inside it, or something equally daft.
