Focus 1,8 Zetec 16v 2000W High Milage - Speedo fault - brj

The speed has started to zero its self and shows no MPH, after a few secongs it comes back on works perfectly for days. This happens at no particular speed. Once the cars milage read out also went off but then both came back on.

Any suggestions as to why and what can be done.

Road speed sensor fault.very common and can be a right pig to change.hth
