Sealant used on front cat to back cat joint ... any comments/ advise on problems

Plenty of selants available that are suitable for use on cats/oxygen sensors. Just make sure its one of those.

Thks.. Is there anyway to tell when looking at sealant if correct one has been used..
Have checked vehicle.... thought front cat had been replaced several weeks ago... When looked at front cat. ... did not look new ...... observed sealant on cat to cat joint.. have been advised sealant should not be needed if new front cat fitted as would bolt securely on.
