BMW 525d SE (Y reg)
Manual
Cloth
Have been offered a v.good deal on the above car.
Has anyone got any experience or advice on this model ?
I have driven and was very impressed with the 530d and 330d autos,(loved the drive, power and economy). But the damned things are still pricey for me. Are 5 and 3 series residuals about to nose dive with the new 5 due out soon and the 3.0 diesel pumped up to 200bhp plus (205/215 bhp ??)

Well, we can only give advice on how good a deal if we know the condition, mileage and price.

Fair point DavidHM.
Good condition but for 2 minor dents in bumper and front wing(paint not broken),39k, FBMWSH,£14,995.

Go go go! Sounds a good price if all uptogether with FSH. The performance is virtully same as 530d. I had a 525d auto for assessment - incredible car.
|
I can normally get fairly good deals through work, however the best they are offering is a 56kmile 2001 51plate 525D for £17000.
Seems like your price is pretty good.

Thanks Crombster for the info.
By the way, before I take the plunge - do you have or do you know of any good available deals on used 330d's ?
|
None available from my sources, however I wouldn't imagine there would be many great deals being such a sought after model.

Did my research on the web - primarily this site.
Polled workplace car buffs for their knowledge.
Finally made up my mind on Friday lunchtime after a test drive at a local BM garage to go for the car.
It had just been sold - Gutted !!
My search for a BM diesel (530d/525d/330d) continues....
A they say, He who hesitates.....
