vw crafter 09 - ignition starter problems - 143john

some times when i turn the key on in the ignition it will not start i have to continue turn and wiggle the key several times before the key connects before it will start, this is becoming more and more frequent can anyone help with whats wrong, the van has only done 18.000 miles so it cannot be wear and tear its the same with both keys. is this a fault with the crafter

I would suggest either a faulty ignition switch or starter motor.
