I want to fit higher profile tyres to reduce pot hole damage and increase comfort what sizes/alloy wheels can I fit

Which begs the question - Why did you buy the x sport model ? They come with 19" low profile tyres.

Having said that you would need to change the existing 19" alloy rims to the smaller size of 16" or 17" and then you could fit higher profile tyres. You would then have an improved ride, less road noise, improved fuel economy and less likely to damage tyres and wheels.

Was given a very good deal on the new car " too good to resist" within 10 days I had to buy a new tyre at £240 - pot hole then 4 weeks later another new tyre - stone in the road. I have the standard 19" low profile alloys/tyres on the car
