ford focus 1.8 tdci - can anyone help pls - stressed...

i have a 2005 - 55 1.8 tdci. I drove car home thursday fine; friday morning it has no power i have been told its in limp home mode? it was fault tested and it said glo plug circuit. on the dash it reads engine systems fault.

i have been to 7 garages all say the fault code doesnt make sence with the problem. i have been on several forums and have read some horror stories, i d not want to be throwing good money away, does anyone have any advice pls.

Check and clean the EGR valve and surrounding pipework including the inlet manifold for a start,if required swop the EGR,check the turbo,see if its electronic turbo actuator or vacuum operated.

Diesel specialist will probably have seen the same problem a dozen times, if not they will go about proper diagnosis logically, it is what they specialise in.

Local taxi owner/drivers would be a good bet to ask where to take your car if you don't know of any reputable Diesel workshops in your area.
