Peugeot Boxer - Are online genuine parts legit - Dezbo

I'm looking for a genuine part NOX sensor. I can get one direct from Peugeot at a cost of £365 but have found that Autovaux do the same OEM part for £200. They claim to be genuine parts but how can they do them so much cheaper?

Stellantis as owners of Peugeot etc will use this part for lots of vehicles, but they buy them in and buy at a far lower cost.

Someone is making them and supplying to the car maker.

Plenty of other examples where the OEM part is cheaper elsewhere.

If it's areputable online retailer you'll be ok.

Autovaux has always sold genuine parts for Opel/Vauxhall cars cheaply - by sourcing parts all over Europe - now that Opel/Vauxhall is part of Stellantis I'd expect their sources to be increased so more opportunity to save money.

I'd think the sandard answer would be "because the markup from Peugeot is so huge".200 is probably still a very good margin.
