Skoda Octavia Estate 2021 version - Gear Selector fault - MR CHRISTOPHER D MCDONALD

Good Afternoon

I have a "gear selector fault" showing intermittently but the car is running fine. Is this a problem anyone is familiar with, and what are the consequences of ignoring it?

Yes , seems to be a common issue . If the shift lever doesn’t quite locate correctly in the Park position, the electronics think it’s not “fully home “ . There’s a modification to the park microswitch assembly that needs to be replaced, if you’re bothered about it., I’m assuming it’s an auto dsg gearbox
