Vw 1.6 golf diesel 2011. - Rough running on start up - sparky100
Hi, my daughter’s golf starts up ok but is rough running until it warms up a bit then it’s fine. Just wondering what this can be. Glow plugs seem ok. Thanks for any help. Sparky 100

It won't be glow plugs. Is this a new problem? Quite a lot of diesels are pretty rough first thing. When were the filters last changed?

Glow plugs only used for cold start when ambient temperature below 5 degrees C . From your description, it’s very likely to be injectors in trouble. Not uncommon on this engine.
