VW Golf Mk 7 Estate1.5 TSI 130. - NEW VW Missing Vehicle Identification Sticker - Judesman

I have bought a new Golf and noticed that the usual vehicle identification sticker had not been stuck in the user manual and the Pre Delivery Inspection record had not been marked. I am told that these stickers are not stuck in the manual any longer and all service records are maintained on dealer's computer. The car is now in to have flat spotting looked at and I have been lent a new Golf (99 miles on the clock). I notice that the identification sticker is in the manual so I wonder why I don't have one in my car. Does anyone have any experience of this please?

They used to be stuck in the wheel well under the boot mat

Skoda don't have them nowadays. My 2016 Octavia doesn't. A PITA all round not to have paper records .

Yes, thank you. Nothing in the wheel well and nothing in the User Manual. I am told they don't stick them in the Manual any more although the new Golf GTI that I have borrowed has one. Very odd but I don't suppose it matters. Just want my flat spotting sorted although VW deny there is a problem!

How long have you had the car?. I'm asking because problems with the 1.5TSI engine have been known for some time now.

I have had the car for two weeks. I have a 1.5 TSI 130 NOT 150 which I understand has caused the flat spot problem.. I was assured that there was no problem with the 130 but there appears to be a problem with mine. With the garage now but I suspect dealer will say they cannot find a problem. We will see.

My car was built in Mosel but don't know where borrowed car was built. Doesn't the dealer stick the label in the manual or is that done at the factory I wonder?

Forget the papers, be ready to reject as soon as you find the fix hasn't worked,

There isn't a fix for the 130 so I will have to see what their response is when I collect car tomorrow.

Stickers may come from the factory or importing depot with the car's papers - dealer then applies them ? (or not)
