MG ZS 2017 - 2600 miles and 9 weeks - oldroverboy.

Little update,

Car doing it's job after the initial little quibbles with selling dealer and the faulty crankshaft sensor that was diagnosed first time and replaced without fuss.

Overall fuel consumption a satisfactory 40-41 mpg, doing the brim to brim method, and happy with that.

Youngrovergirl drove it a while yesterday for the first time and liked it. I sat as a passenger, reclined the seat a bit and enjoyed the comfort without being tensed up.

Air conditioning is on as a default, but can be switched off manually each time.

In all, a fair choice at its price point, and my earlier comments before ownership of no consequence. First service, which was actually paid for by the selling dealer was £124, so no quibbles there.

Off to Amman shortly so will be driving the Nissan Kicks out there. little trip on the side to Aqaba for a few days winter sun as well.

INteresting that you want to turn the a/c off each time. Why? Keeping it on keeps the seals lubricated and the additonal cost is marginal in this weather, whilst aiding demisting.

Enjoy Jordan. Weather a bit better than the UK at the moment in that part of the world. Going to Petra?

If the A/C is on as per default, the ventilator fan is running at the lowest setting, so sometimes turn it off, otherwise stays on for the reasons you state.

Some government offices closed at the moment .... Poor weather...

Been to Petra twice, actually going for a family meeting regarding a forthcoming wedding...

Have you seen the price for entry to Petra.. nearly £50...

By the way flights with Laudamotion (Ryanair) via skyscanner £60 one way via Vienna.

If it wasn't so hard to cross at the Allenby bridge would swing into Israel on the way back and fly home from tel Aviv...

Just did 370 miles round trip.. 45.05 MPG...
