Vauxhall zafira - Power steering - Kick260

We have a 2012 Vauxhall zafira exclusive cdti 1686cc diesel.Can anyone help to diagnose this fault.When we start the car up the power steering works for 7 minutes and then the steering goes hard to steer.Can anyone advise or had this problem themselves? Thanks

The pas on these is electric/hydraulic ,so it is important that the battery and alternator are working up to spec. When the system fails,reach down to the back of engine bay and wiggle the large connector with 2 fat wires ,on the steering pump.Very common for the connector to overheat and cause loss of steering assist.
