SEAT Altea XL - Rear window washer not working - Johngalaxy

Hi, my rear window washer has stopped working. When i activate the washer motor i can hear it working fine but just no water coming out on the back window. I am assuming it is blocked somewhere and not letting the water through. Does anyone know of a common area where it might be blocked?

Any help is much appreciated,

Is the boot getting wet inside? If so check behind the rear lights for a pipe joiner that may have come apart. This is fairly common. Otherwise the place where it's most likely blocked is the washer jet itself.

I have not noticed the boot getting wet. I will give the boot another check around the lights. What would be the best way to unblock the jet where the water comes out?

Assuming it is not frozen - a Pin /a needle / school compasses

The wash jet water runs through the rear wiper motor out to the plastic jet clipped to the base of the wiper arm.Usually the jet gets blocked.Remove it to check water flow.
