There was another similar story some years ago in which the person involved luckily fell on a Mk1 Micra. The roof collapsed in down to the seat level and the victim walked away without even a scratch.
Moral of the story choose a Japanese car ,they have a flimsier roof!

She fell for a Golf - bathtub tom

A guy jumped from the eighth floor of a building I worked in and landed on the roof of the bike shed and a Honda motorbike parked there. He survived the initial fall, but died soon after in hospital.

My sypathies lie with the owner of the Honda (jumper's employers claimed they weren't liable) and the driver of a car going round a roundabout who saw the whole thing and dialled 999.

30 yrs ago a chap jumped off 4th floor of the Glasgow building I worked in - he chose the part with a basement - 2/3 of us saw him fall as we were looking out of the window whilst standing next to a coffee machine.

Phoned 999, whilst 2 ran out of the building to see what could be done. The police were there in 2/3 minutes.

The ambulance arrived 2/3 mins later and was waived away as the chap was dead.

The police then waited for a police van to arrive to take away the body.

Not wishing to waste time they strolled along the lane & wrote traffic tickets for the 8/9 cars bumped up on the pavements in the yellow lined lane! Productivity 1980's style.

I wonder if the woman would have survived if she had landed on the roof of my Subaru. That too doesn't have a sunroof.

A lady decided to end it all in the nearest branch of John Lewis. She jumped off the first floor and landed in the basement. Sadly for her, and fortunately for John Lewis, she landed on a display bed and was uninjured. I imagine that the company sold out of those beds very quickly.

Jesus, she fairly ruined the roof of the VW considering there's not a pick on her. She's skin and bones.
