Old news!

Keyless systems can be an issue regardless of brand - Range Rover have featured a lot in this.

Many brands alter their ECU programming after set times or at particular temperatures - Vauxhall/Fiat to name two.

I think that is about 2 years old if not older, but anything that is transmitted can be hacked including the tpms, they can be hacked during drive by and control taken of a car!

No this is not old news.

2 years ago they demonstrated how to wirelessly hack vw immobilisers to start the engine and vw took out a gagging order to prevent how it was done leaking out.

This new research to be revealed in full next week shows how a $40 piece of kit can open just about any vw group car from the last 2 decades merely by listening to one keyfob press transmission.

The new emission fiddles were recently uncovered by US investigators after vw supposedely had declared everything, ie VW still not being open and honest.

"Any VW" ? There are VW models missing from that list - and plenty of models from other manufacturers.

Yes I`m sure i`d want to know as well ;)

the main computer can be hacked into using the bluetooth transmission and could be dangerous in that the brakes and other things can be operated or shut down using the transmission, plenty about it on google.

so hacking could be done on any transmitting device if someone really had nothing better to do/steal or cause severe problems, thats why I said its old news, all the time patches are being made for security vulnerabilities there are people who will find a hole in it, never ending cycle
