Citroen C3 Picasso - Dog proofing interior - rogertb

Hi chaps, taking delivery of our new C3 in a few weeks and starting to get bits to protect the interior surfaces from our dog so any advice/recommendations welcome. I'd like to try and find a boot liner that will cover the total floor (when back seats are folded) but still work when they're in their corect position. Rear seat covers might be good, maybe some floor mats. Any other advice for a new owner very welcome. Many thanks Roger

We bought a universal shaped boot liner, waterproof nylon mix of some sort which covers all the sides, cable tied it at convenient points to keep it in place, then chucked an old floor rug in on top so the dogs have warmth comfort and grip.

It gets wet when they've been swimming, when haven't they, and you get muddy splashes up the glass and interior trim which turns to dust when it dries, but it has protected what it needed to.

Might be worth a waterproof seat cover over the back seat of the dog can touch it.

Best solution, cancel the new car, buy an old estate car or preferably a pick up, sorted..:-)

If you are going to put the dog behind the rear seats, it is worth getting a dog gate which is designed for the car. The universal ones in my experience never fit very well.

Safest way is to put muttley in a travel cage - can't do damage or slobber over everything then.

We bought one for isolating and transporting a sick/injured moggie during convalesence.

Good solid bit of kit.
