Just modifying an existing roundabout under the A127 is going to take Essex CC a whopping 8 months. Makes you wonder why doesn't it.

The congestion this is causing since Tuesday at peak times is immense.

Avoid the whole area unless you have a camper van....then at least you can get a comfy sleep.

They probably only work in the late evening/overnight when they can close lanes/a whole road or junction. In my view the authorities never have the guts to close a road/junction from an entire day/weekend so that work can be done outside the weekday rush hour periods and without days/weeks/months of useless (and no-one working on them) coned off areas just causing major pinch points.

No. Not really. But since you're obviously such an expert, why don't yu get elected to Essex CC and show them how it's done.

Be thankful you don't have to pass through the catthorpe Interchange or Tollbar End on a daily basis, like some of us.

Makes you wonder why doesn't it.

Not really, no. I've not experience in doing work like that.

So - hwo long do you think it should take?
