Shell Nitro+ Diesel - Grease_monkey

Does anyone know the GTL(Gas to Liquid) percentage of Shell Nitro+ Diesel?

Is there any GTL in BP Ultimate Diesel?

Thanks for any help

You could contact the companies involved but they may not want to release that sort of information confidential to their refineing business.

Shell used to make a big noise about how the original V-Power diesel had at least 10% GTL content.

However, they've now dropped the mention of GTL from the marketing material and just talk about the high detergency.

AFAIK, BP Ultimate never had GTL, it was just high-cetane and high detergent.

I read yesterday BP are using it, but they dont mention percentage, only that the lower calorific value gives a better burn with less smoke,

but where I bought it yesterday its 11p a litre more than standard diesel. and I didnt check before filling up, I also have not noticed any difference between the two apart from price

If it's lower calorific value it should be cheaper - not more expensive!

They call it greener fuel so its more expensive and supposedly stops your engine/fuel system getting dirty keeping it more efficient (same old hype) thats what the sign said at the garage (except the expensive and supposedly)

I put it in by accident but wont put it in again, standard seems good enough to me and fuel consumption is the same so far, but will tell later in the week come fill up time
