Hi,

My wife's Ibiza ST 1.2 TSi, 3.5 years old with 16,000 miles and in as new condition has suffered 2 power steering failures while in motion.

First time it was repaired by fitting voltage regulator to counter over-voltage. Second time it has been fitted with new alternator.

I am concerned that this may happen again with possibly dangerous results.

Seat customer services can not help me with technical information.

Technician at franchised garage informs me that he does this sort of repair about once a month.

Any advice appreciated as I am not 100% convinced the problem has been sorted.
